Resumen

El propósito del presente capítulo, es determinar, a la luz de las recomendaciones y evidencia disponible, cuáles son las mejores estrategias para realizar resucitación cardiopulmonar a víctimas pediátricas en el contexto prehospitalario. Para cumplir con dicho propósito, se hace necesario conocer cuál es el enfoque actual de la reanimación en al ámbito prehospitalario y cuáles son las herramientas disponibles que mejor se adapten al objetivo para entregar una RCP de calidad y que sean aplicables a la realidad diversa de Latinoamérica.
