Resumen

La vasculitis primaria de SNC (sistema nervioso central) es una rara enfermedad caracterizada por la inflamación del endotelio de los vasos de pequeño calibre que afecta a personas entre la 5ta y 6ta década de vida. Con una incidencia global de 2.4 casos anuales, representa un reto diagnóstico debido a que no tiene cuadro clínico, ni hallazgos por imagen específicos. Por lo que su diagnóstico es de exclusión. El propósito de esta revisión es sintetizar la información que se dispone al momento acerca de la vasculitis primaria del SNC, enfocado en los diferentes hallazgos por imagen que nos ayudan a su diagnóstico. Se presentan dos casos clínicos como experiencia de nuestro servicio para recalcar lo complejo que se vuelve su diagnóstico y los hallazgos por imagen que pueden encontrarse.
