Abstract

The Ecuadorian Academy of Medicine is an academic-scientific association that, with ethics and humanism, has remained active and current throughout its 66 years of existence. During these years, its essential mission has been to contribute to the progress of medicine, maintaining continuing medical education as its banner, encouraging excellence in the training of future doctors, research into the medical-social reality of our country and exalting the human and scientific values ​​of distinguished teachers, an example of improvement, who were or are members of this distinguished institution of Ecuadorian medicine.
