Abstract

Due to their low incidence, fibroadenomas in accessory breast tissue are not frequently diagnosed or their diagnosis is delayed or ignored. Although its malignant conversion is low, its late recognition has poor outcomes. There are few reports of this case. Therefore, due to the lack of information for the management of this pathology, its diagnosis and surgical treatment are described in the following case. This is a case report of a 48-year-old woman with right axillary accessory tissue since birth and after her first pregnancy, it occurs bilaterally. With pain at breastfeeding and 1 year ago pain at her menstrual period, rapid unilateral growth. Complementary tests show a fibroadenoma in one of the axillary accessory mammary glands.
