Abstract

The tumor with villoglandular pattern is an uncommon subtype of endometrioid adenocarcinoma, considered in this way since 1998 due to its frequent mixed presentation with typical endometrioid carcinoma and its similar biological characteristics. It is commonly identified in postmenopausal women whose main symptom is metrorrhagia and it occurs early, allowing it to be identified in a timely manner for treatment and prognosis. There are histological characteristics (myoinvasion) that may be related to a different prognosis; however, they have not been officially recognized. We present the case of a patient with a histopathological result of this variant, but a very poor prognosis due to the identified clinical stage, despite the good degree of differentiation, given her refusal to receive treatment.
